I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
